This is the tale of Utena. She has entered a strange new academy full of strange rules and strange people.
The Adolescence Of Utena has a very surreal quality to it. The artwork is beautiful, the storyline is excellent and the characters are interesting. Although the main pairing is light shoujo-ai, yuri, girl's love or what ever you wish to call it, even if you are not interested in that sort of thing this is still worth checking out. It's a great anime to look at, especially if you like things on the more unusual side.
