When the sacred spirit Okikurumi disappears from Atsuma's village, the spirits known as kamui are thrown into chaos and the imbalance threatens to destroy the Earth. Infused with the spirit of an ancient sword, Atsuma leaves his village to reclaim Okikurumi. He discovers the Noble Offensive Academy, an organization of youths who wield the power of the kamui and who may hold the key to Okikurumi. Sumire, a beautiful young woman with an empty soul, recruits Atsuma into NOA.
