Asano Katsuya is a US trained psychiatrist recruited by the Tokyo Police Department to provide a profile for a serial killer based on the victims' data. Through Asano's profile and recommendation, an elaborate plan was put in place to lure the killer out. Within months, the plan resulted in success. After three years and twelve victims, Shinohara Keiji was finally in the police custody. Shinohara promised a thorough confession on the absolute terms that Asano be the one to receive it.
