Hearing about Angel Sanctuary I was a bit worried when I started reading this manga. Tales of siblings getting it on are not my thing at all. While there is mention of incest it doesn't seem to play a major role in the story, at least not in the first volume. Since I prefer shounen manga it was my first time seeing fan service for girls. The main character is naked a lot, some serious near miss full frontal shots, and is put out there as the oh so sexy protagonist, but most of the characters are beautifully drawn along with the background/scenery art, very detailed. The most interesting thing I noticed about this title is that for a shoujou manga it has a lot death and a degree of gore. If someone says heads will fly in this title they more than likely mean it literally. As for story and character development Godchild seems to be a pretty basic detective story with some pretty melodramatic characters. Interesting manga, but it fails to really get me involved. A good buy if you prefer quality art over story.

Yes it is! But I enjoyed it, I've yet to proceed from this vol into the series, but I've liked it so far. It is my first time experiencing a work of Kaori Yuki, but I've grown on it.. maybe its just because I'm into the whole aristocratic thing and bishounens ? well, all I know is I like it. The story so far, seems to just be different every other chapter? Oh well, variety is good as well. If you like bishounens half naked most of the time or dressed up in a topcoat and what not, i recommend it.
