In the shadow of Akina Mountain, street racers take on one of the most dangerous roads in the world. Among them, a Trueno AE86, 'The Ghost of Akina,' tears through the pass like a phantom no other car can touch. Behind the wheel is Takumi Fujiwara, a tofu delivery boy on his way to becoming the greatest street racer ever.
But even with a natural talent honed simply through his love of racing, nothing could have prepared Takumi for the world of hardcore street racing. Here, teams take each other on in modified racing machines with hooked up frames and engines that bring them to a whole other dimension of speed.
