The Emperor now lies bloodied and prone against Ki-Do-Ryu - the Japanese antithesis of the Korean martial art Shi-Nan-Joo. Horribly wounded, Chunhoo is all that lies in between his son Sukgi and the deadly blade of the Japanese master swordsman Matsui.
Sukgi barely escapes, bidding the prostitute Semi a melancholy farewell and vowing to come back for her. He flees to the mountains where he meets the secretive and deadly siren Rou. Like him, she's got a history written in blood and a heart turned cold for revenge. One thing's for sure: when vengeance comes, it will come in spades.
