The series is not bad despite how old the animation is. It follows the manga pretty closely, but cuts out of lot of the more obscene jokes and scenes of the manga. In some cases, an entire story may be left out, but otherwise than that, it stays true to the plot. The main problem with the series is that there isn't took much re-watch value due to the length and simplicity of the storylines. In that sense it is a lot like Dragon Ball, so it's up to the buyer to decide if that's the type of series they enjoy.
