Spring has arrived in Neo-Venezia, marking the first anniversary since Akari Mizunashi came to Aqua. Akari goes to her daily practice with Aika and meets a new friend, Alice, who has impressive skills for a trainee gondolier-her company, Orange Planet, is one of the three major gondola companies in town and a rival to Aika's company. But their rivalry can wait when Neo-Venezia is submerged under water due to a seasonal phenomenon known as aqua alta and Akari receives a call for help from Mr. Akatsuki!
