As a child, Argent was a slave and a court poison tester. As an adult, he finds himself protecting the Princess from the same royal family. Despite having once been part of an attempt to assassinate her, Garna has received a pardon from Princess Primula and is returned to his position as the royal chef. Argent feels that Garna's resourceful and wise ways will help protect the Princess, so he decides it is time to embark on a trip alone to cure his body of its poisonous nature. Meanwhile, there is conspiracy brewing, as a mysterious group plots the fall of all royal families, one by one.
