After a desperate battle against his own half-brother, Sessho-Maru, Inu-Yasha now holds his demon-father's great sword - the Tetsusaiga, or "Steel-Cleaving Fang." In honor of Inu-Yasha's human mother, the Tetsusaiga has an odd quirk for a demonic weapon - it can only be wielded in defense of humanity. When a lovesick lad named Nobunaga (who is yet years away from being the warlord history will remember) tells Kagome and Inu-Yasha the story of a three hundred-year-old demon who devours the souls of young girls, and a princess in dire need of rescue, it seems that such a sword may yet come in handy....
