The Anime has Nothing on the Manga Sep 25, 2008

For those of you used to the Yu-Gi-Oh! series that was based around the card game, you have no idea what you've been missing. The manga is just way better. It also doesn't focus on the card game. In fact, that game is barely even mentioned. I've read about 44 chapters, and it's only mentioned in 8, at most (most of which were 1 page references). The actual series is based around games. These games are usually life-or-death games. It is much more violent. It is much better. I actually enjoyed this quite a bit. However, some of the games played weren't well thought out and full of holes. It's just too unrealistic to be the best. That's why I only gave it 4 stars. I'd rather give it 4.5, though.

The birth of the brutal rivalry between Yugi Moto and Seto Kaiba. Also it shows the true bond between Joey Wheeler and Yugi. Yugi loses his rarest cards and yet becomes stronger... If you love the card game this is a must have. Even if you dont play the game its a brilliant anime dealing with strategy, friendship and never giving up.
