The series is moderately interesting, but there is no great plot line, any thing fu cetera. So, unless you just want to kill some time, don't waste your money.

I would recommend this series to any fan of the romance/comedy manga. The relationship between Sachie and the Yakuza members as she becomes more comfortable in her new life is very funny. The moments when her inner Ane comes out made me laugh out loud. The artist also does a great job showing the many faces of Rakuto, from prince to fox. As the romance between Sachie and Rakuto deepens the reader cheers for these two. This is one to own so you can read it anytime you need a pick me up.

Staying Over at Grandpa's Never Was This Complicated     Mar 14, 2008     reviewed by DamageCtrl    

When Sachi's mother passed away, she was left without any family or a home - or so she thought. Enter her estranged grandfather, the leader of a yakuza group. Within moments, Sachi is swept away in a shady black car to the well guarded compound filled with gangsters. Everything seems pretty straight forward - yazuka, suspicious estranged relative, gangster filled house - except for Raku, a young man about her age, who has been assigned as her bodyguard. The oddest thing about him: in a house filled with hooligans, he's completely normal...aside from being so painfully charming. Still, with no where else to go, she decides to at least give a try.

Of course, that's not the half of it. Raku's reputation as the school's prince charming puts her, the girl he proclaims as the princess he must guard, in the spotlight. Normality is out the window. Unable to say anything to the outside world about her secret home life, she grows close to the people she lives with. And, as in any shojo manga, becomes endeared by them. And Raku? Hello, romantic interest.

I found Wild Ones to be pretty funny. Sachi's reactions to her surroundings are always entertaining. It is heart-warming to see her interact with the men of the house, as they've taken her as one of their own, swearing to protect her with their lives. There is just enough angst and drama to keep things interesting without weighing the whole story down, and the reader is left wanting to know where exactly her guardian-charge relationship with Raku goes.

You'll fall in love with Sachi and Raku. For a nice, easy read, I'd definitely suggest this manga. Nothing too serious, it's humorous, but not outrageously so. The romance is subtle, but clear by the middle of the first volume. At least 4.5 stars.
