Certainly Different, but Lacking Jun 02, 2008
reviewed by Obsessed
I bought this work because I love anything involving some sort of criminal activity. The beginning of this work has the main character meet when the seme kidnaps the uke for ransom. From there, the criminal/kidnapped victim fun ends. (I was so sad.)
After this initial chapter the author attempts to build the relationship between the characters. It seems like plot building in reverse. I also wondered if the initial chapter was once a one-shot that was later expanded. The following chapters begin to feel like obstacle of the chapter works. The two are close then something happens to make them doubt each other, but by the end their love proves strong. It is dull and formulated.
However, I should add that there are original ideas that make the work interesting. I do love the uke doubts about the seme true sexual identity.
Lastly, there are plenty of edited sex scenes throughout the work. They are enjoyable, but the editing does make it difficult to determine what exactly took place. To explain this best: some of scenes end leaving the reader wondering was it just foreplay or actual sex between the characters?
Overall, the work could have been really good. But due to the author’s use of dull plot and confusing layout, I give it 3 stars.
