Don't get me wrong - I like high-school romance stories. But as a reader who's been out of high-school for quite some time *cough*, I'm always on the look out for a more mature audience oriented manga. Venus in Love manages to capture the feeling of being on one's own for the first time and living the collegiate experience, and falling in love at the same time. But romantic love is not the end-all and be-all of this series (well, it's only one volume in, so who knows?), and I really enjoy the budding friendships between the main characters. This series would be good for the reluctant shoujo reader.
