Delving into a different kind of Jun 16, 2007 reviewed by Demoni (Vampire Hunter D Novel Vol. 01)
This is the first book in the Vampire Hunter D series, and certainly lives up to expectations. It follows the story of a young woman named Doris who is in desperate need of a Vampire Hunter. Through fate and circumstance, a hunter arrives - Vampire Hunter D. The story continues, chronicling the fight against the Vampire Count Lee, as well as various other villains within the story. The fight scenes are exquisitely detailed and this book truly can take your imagination and run away with it.

Fantasy redefined Mar 14, 2008 reviewed by Desiree (Coffin: The Art of Vampire Hunter D)
Yoshitaka Amano is the brilliant and talented man behind the brushstrokes that created Vampire Hunter D, work I sometimes feel is sadly overlooked, due to the fame his Final Fantasy characters brought him. Every single page of this book is filled with the true definition of art and an appealing darkness that utterly takes your breath away. I could never find the words to truly do justice to Amano's work, you have to see it for yourself.
