Vampire Game Synopsis: In an epic battle, King Phelios defeats King Dusel, but both monarchs are mortally wounded. As the two lay dying, Dusel prophesies that they will meet again, sometime in another place and another time, and vows that he will be triumphant. The moment of resurrection happens hundreds of years later when Dusel comes back as a menacing baby wildcat who is rescued from the wild and adopted by Ishtar, the great-granddaughter of his nemesis, King Phelios. Ishtar is a playful girl with an iron will and a penchant for pranks, a trait that distresses her caretaker, Sir Keld, and a dashing imperial guard, Captain Dales. Ishtar is not, however, the reincarnation of Phelios, leaving the now-feline Dusel to continue his quest for revenge - without letting his new owner know that he is hell-bent on destroying her family ... but would Ishtar even care about that if she knew?

Okay, first off, Vampire Game, the perfect, and I mean perfect, blend of supernatural, action, mystik-magic-watever-things, and romance!
Second of all...VAMPIRE GAME IS THE BEST! ^.^ Out of all of the series that I have read on Manga, and watched in Anime, I love vampire game the most ^-^ It's pretty confusing in the beginning, with a bunch of names, places, some whoever that's suppose to come back as a little kitten, but if you reread it a couple of times, you'll fall in love with it like me! ^-^ i TOTALLY recommend it =P+

Well, not technically, since in a way, they're rather lazy, but this is one of the best mangas I've come across. It's not incredibly morbid and depressing, or cliche; Vampire Game has a unique storyline with very entertaining characters. The art work in this story isn't quite as beautiful as the others, but it's still distinguishable. There are some incredibly entertaining parts in the story, and you get to watch several long triangles unfold between the characters, though thank god the storyline doesn't emphasis those parts throughout the series.
There's a fun-loving, trouble-making princess, a stressed out body guard, and feline vampire king. They make a pretty good combo too, in my opinion.
If you like lighthearted, humoring and non-apocalyptic stories, then you'll probably enjoy this one. On the other hand, if you're deadly morbid and are more into the 'I shall slaughter all', maybe you should try something else.
