What can I say? 6 star this book! Jun 19, 2008

Vagabond is probaly one of the best manga ever written, and especially drawn. The art is amazing. The only other one comparable in sheer visual beauty is the manwha Shaman Warrior. The facial expressions and movement are beyond any manga out there or before. The realism is astonishing, especially the violence. In the first volume, a bandit gets his arm sliced off and it looked so realistic, its a little disturbing. The story is very slow moving, but thats what makes it so good. Each panel is very deliberate in its function. No word is wasted and no expression can be missed for its point. Vagabond is truly a work of art. I can't recommend it enough. The best toilet reading. The best.
Stah-witch-knee also recommended: Shaman Warrior, Blade of the Immortal, Lone Wolf and Cub,
