Tuxedo Gin: A Simple Spoiler-Free Review Mar 13, 2009
reviewed by Gerry Cola
Tuxedo Gin is a series that will confuse you if you don't keep an open mind. It's the story of a high school guy who gets killed in a car accident and is reincarnated as a penguin. He leaves behind a girl that he had just met that he instantly falls in love with. The series is constructed in a somewhat episodic manner. Most of the chapters do not progress the story if only to build on the idea that their relationship is strong despite never once going on a date. The story progresses slowly, but they do introduce a wide variety of characters to cause more trouble than they're worth. This is a good series for someone who is just starting out reading manga because it introduces the reader to the crazy world of manga. This series is intended for readers over the age of 16 due to occasional but not frequent female nudity. It is a romantic-comedy so don't expect any bloodshed or cursing.
