Much angst and Fuzzy feelings! Jun 24, 2008 reviewed by KakeranoTsuki (Trinity Blood: Reborn on the Mars Vol. 01)
This novel's the one about the Star of Sorrow arc. This novel actually seems like a novel, unlike the Rage against the moons novels which are just collections of short stories. If you've watched the anime and hated Esther (as many of us do~), you'll completely change your opinion about her in this novel. It really shows her character development.
The art is top-notch, as usual, and there's plenty of drama to keep the reader entertained, even if they HAVE seen the anime.
Definitely recommended!

Great art. Great characters. Plot... a little lacking. Jun 24, 2008 reviewed by KakeranoTsuki (Trinity Blood: Rage Against the Moons Vol. 01)
This was the first novel that was translated into English, I think, so the quality of translation on this is the best (but as marukawa said, it's still very rough). It has four short stories: Flight Night, Witch Hunt, From the Empire, and Sword Dancer. There's lots of insert pictures drawn by THORES Shibamoto, which are *amazing*. The original novel opening pictures are included at the back, too! (in the 'bonus' section), though they're in black and white.
The stories were the first few episodes of the anime, yes, but the novel goes into so much more detail, so it's not like a complete recap. The stories are interesting if you've never watched the anime, actually, but then, chances are, if you're reading this that's probably not that case.
All in all, this is a mediocre novel to the normal reader, but to a Trinity Blood fan, it's another perspective on the TB world.

Worth getting for any Trinity Blood fan Jun 24, 2008 reviewed by KakeranoTsuki (Trinity Blood: Rage Against the Moons Vol. 02: Silent Noise)
The second Novel of Trinity Blood R.A.M. can stand alone just like the first, i.e. You don't actually have to read any of the other novels to understand it, though you'll probably enjoy it more if you do.
The really special thing about this one is that it also includes a side story, Sliding Blade, which is a story about Hugue's past. It was never included in the anime and nothing was mentioned about it in either the anime or manga, so this is something completely unique to the novels. The other stories in here are Silent Noise and Neverland, which were both in the anime, so nothing special there.
As usual, the illustrations are superb and the translation is mediocre, but if you're only going to get one Trinity Blood Novel, this is the one to get.

Mixed feelings Jun 24, 2008 reviewed by KakeranoTsuki (Trinity Blood: Reborn on the Mars Vol. 02)
The second R.O.M Trinity Blood novel continues half a year after where the first one left off, so it would be a good idea to buy that one first.
The first part of the novel, Queen's summer, was never included in the anime, but it was included in the manga, so I guess it's up to you if that's a good thing. Well, it makes the story flow more smoothly. Then, from here, the story follows the manga step by step. Seriously, EVERYTHING is the same. If you've read the manga chapters for the Empire arc and fully absorbed all the information as I have, you'll find this very boring.
There are subtle differences, though, like Esther being much more mature than she ever was in the manga. For me, that was not enough to offset the boredom of reading what I already know and expect, but if you were dozing while reading the manga or if you're a hardcore Trinity Blood fan, you'll definitely want this.

Amazing Jun 24, 2008 reviewed by KakeranoTsuki (Trinity Blood Vol. 01)
First volume of the manga series, and Kiyo pulls it off spectacularly. The art is great, the pacing is just right, and the translation flows smoothly and is worded well. It's obvious that the mangaka put a lot of effort into this, because everything looks very smooth and polished, with not a line out of place.
It will make you laugh and make your heart clench. Definitely recommended.

Filler volume Jun 24, 2008 reviewed by KakeranoTsuki
This volume doesn't really have any role in the grand scheme of things, but it's a fun read. The stories are alternate versions of Japanese folklores, so if you're into creepy, trippy stuff, this is just the thing. The art is very nice, as always.
The stories' plots are very cliché and mediocre, though, so skipping over this is just fine, too.

Art and Action Jul 25, 2007 reviewed by Mommy bookworm
This series has action that kept me to the edge of my seat and it made me think about how everything connects together. The art work is really beautiful and I really like it when father Able fights. :D

it's okay i guess Jul 18, 2007 reviewed by marukawa (Trinity Blood: Rage Against the Moons Vol. 01)
The way this novel is worded feels a bit simple-minded, like a junior high kid wrote it. There isn't much creativity going on. So far it's almost exactly like the anime series so it might seem a bit boring to some. I read half of this novel and grew bored with it. To me, all it's good for is to look pretty on the shelf.
