It is a short three volume series that suffers from difficult panel layout and sudden plot jumps. Not to mention a giant talking tiger in battle gear.

The story begins like an epic battle manga that will go one for many, many volumes. Then the reader is thrust into a strange world with no idea as to why it is this way or why there is a problem in the first place. Then we are quickly introduced to the main character are not given any reason to like him or even what him to succeed. Then his series of odd adventures never adds up to a whole plot. It feels more like a sucession of one-shot moments that were packaged together. Lastly, yes there is a talking sword. But it is first introduced as a disembodied voice without any comprehension as to who is talking and who it is talking to.

Oh, and did I mention the odd and randomly place sex scene? Also, CMX decided to print vol. 1 with full male nudity. As for the fans of random panty flashing and large breasts, this work is littered with them.

The art is good and well drawn for battle scenes. However, the publisher, CMX, quality is sub-par. The pages are pre-yellowed, the inking is bland, and for $9.99 a piece the books are very short. Plus, my vol 3 can pre-torn at the edges due to poor quality. (Normally, a problem where I would send the damaged copy back or buy a replacement vol but with this plot who cares?)

Overall, avoid this work unless you are really, really bored or possess morbid curiousity.
