Seriously. What do you find funny? Do you laugh at Simpson-esque escapades? How about when seriously injures himself/herself? And not the home videos kind of injury (aka the object to the groin formula) – the kind that can actually or may have killed you. Do you enjoy the Darwin awards?
Strawberry-chan is a short series of twisted humor tales that appeals to people with a morbid/dark sense of humor. In short, yes the main character sticks a straw up the frog’s *beep* to inflate it, but said frog weirdly enjoys it. A major no go for those with more delicate senses of humor. This said if you fall into the dark side of humor this is laugh out loud funny. The antics of roommates and fellow students are equally funny including a yaoi type joke where a boy dresses up like a giant frog in order to attract the human main character. (Who weirdly prefers frogs – don’t ask). Also, in the second vol, there is an episode on Valentine’s Day that I just cannot stop finding funny.
The work is completely random and at times out right stilly. Things that no normal mangka in his/her right mind would dare to draw probably occurred here. The art is clean but coordinates well with its wacky plot.
But again unless you have a dark sense of humor pass on this one.
