Saiyuki Synopsis: Everyone's got a reason for giving Sanzo trouble. Rather than serve in heaven, Souto's crack team of god soldiers enlist in Homura's army. Also - two brothers modified by Gyokumen Koushu using black magic try to nab the Maten Scripture in exchange for their freedom. But when some second rate imposters foolishly try to pose as the legendary travelers, they learn again the hard way it's safer to be yourself. This product is DEFINATELY worth buying, I have it and I'm going to get more of the double barrel seies. 10 full episodes for this price isn't bad, not at all. This tops most electronic stores. It's a better deal than buying the other ones seperately to be honest. This series is very very good and you'll get addicted.

This is one of my favorites. I like the anime better because the manga goes a slower pace. It's about how preist Sanzo finding and traveling to India with this good spirits:Gojyo, Goku, and Hakkai. The manga is more adult or older teen because there a nude scene and more swearing.

It is a journey of a Genjo Sanzo, Cho Hakkai(Gono), Sha Gojyo and Son Gouku to the west to get the scriptures and fight those demon who want to kill humans....

One of the best manga's/anime's ever! I read this and couldn't stop! The rest of the series is really good. I can't wait for the next to come out. I recommend this if you like comedy and tragedy.

When first introduced to Saiyuki, I thought it would be just another run-of-the-mill fight manga. Still I found the art intriguing.
Inside the covers, I found not only was the art riveting and sensual, but the story was a wonderful multi-layered complex of plots and in-depth characterizations wrapped artfully hidden in an action-packed package.
One comes to know not only the main characters and their motivations in such a way as they become 3-dimensional people one can actually care about but many of the antagonists in the ongoing saga of Sanzo and his cohorts are also so well developed that one is pulled into the complexity of the story one step at a time.
Minekura Kazuya brings the world and characters of Saiyuki compellingly alive.
