Good effort, fun read! Apr 08, 2008

I know there is a huge furor in the manga reading community regarding Western-made mangas, if even a category should exist. I'm not here to debate that. What I will say that taking everything into context, Riding Shotgun was a very fun, action packed read. The flow of the story was a little choppy at parts (somethings felt a bit rushed), and it feels like the artist doesn't quite feel like he's at home yet (imho, I think he was trying to balance his style vs. adhering to a classic manga model) - but all in all good crime induced fun in the vein of The Gunsmith Cats. And some darn fun twists I never saw coming!
Budsky also recommended: Gunsmith Cats, Bean Bandit, Black Cat,
