Don't waste your money..... Jun 13, 2007
reviewed by Rainy
This is the worst yaoi manga I own. It tires to be funny (but fails), it's ugly to look at, and it's confusing beyond belief. Media Blasters tend to have troubles with their translations, but this by far is the worst, there are even some parts that aren't translated at all O_o. Really though, I think if it was translated perfectly it would still be a confusing and annoying manga. I say skip this one and spend your money on more quality yaoi like Lies and Kisses or Love Mode.

An Acquired Taste Aug 23, 2007

Story: These stories shouldn't be taken seriously. This book is pretty much filled with crack. If that is your type of humor, then you might enjoy this book.
There are five sections of this book:
1. The first was pretty clear and funny. It dealt with a kid wanting to get back at his rapist.
2. The second was doing fine until towards the end. It started getting weird and confusing. It is about a middle-aged man wanting to explore his sexuality.
3. The third one was pretty clear and enjoyable. It was about a community organization leader who is about to report the Cherry Drive group to the police.
4. The fourth one was my favorite. It has the two leaders of the group pair up the other two straight workers in their own story.
5. The fifth didn't make any sense at all during the first read. After re-reading it a couple times, it's pretty much understandable. It is about a poor guy who wants to exploit his lover. (They use the word 'exploit' a lot and I wasn't sure if they meant rape or that he was exploited out of his money.)
All in all, I enjoyed 3 1/2 of the 5 stories. The translation was quite confusing. There were some parts in the book that made me pause and try to digest the words. It sometimes felt like the translations were taken straight from a japanese-to-english dictionary.
Art: I actually really enjoyed this art style. However, I have borrowed this book out to friends who hated it. I guess its more of a matter of taste than anything. There are some frames that don't make the characters look flattering. If I had to describe the style, I think I would call it sharp. The characters also tend to have puffy lips. Especially Kenny.
