Sunny, in an Unfortunately sequence of events, is abandoned by everyone she once loved, and has to pay the bills as a prostitute. In her line of work, she meets Lou, a man who had high hopes, but lost them all and now makes his money by out drinking other men.
Its such great chemistry for imaginary characters, you would think they were real people. The art is simple, yet beautiful and very different from the “usual” style of drawing. The figures are not skinny as hell, or have big eyes, or crazy sexy; they are normal (so refreshing might I add)
In conclusion, with it’s blunt but realistic story and its simple art, The Other Side of the Mirror is a great manga to add to your collection.
