Only the Ring Finger Knows Synopsis: At Wataru Fujii's high school, it's all the rage to wear paired rings with the girl you love. Wataru wears one though he is single, and one day inadvertently discovers that his ring pairs up with that of tall, handsome and smart Yuichi Kazuki, the senior classman idolized by the entire school...
Though Kazuki has a reputation for being kind to all, when dealing with Wataru, he is strangely harsh. Their paired rings somehow draw them together and the two alternately clash and attract, as they must sort out their budding feelings for each other.

Cute and Enjoyable Mar 17, 2008 reviewed by Tia
Only The Ring Finger Knows Series is an enjoyable read. The series is broken up into one manga and three novels. All of the books focus primarily on the relationship of Kazuki and Wataru. Kazuki is calm and collected while Wataru is more of a hothead.
The manga and the first half of the novel are the same story Only the Ring Finger Knows. So it’s not really necessary to read the manga in order to understand the novel. Although I would recommend it as the art work is very nice, plus the manga has an extra special episode entitled The Two Princes that isn’t in the novel. The novel then continues the story with The Lonely Ringer Finger.
If you liked the first novel then you will definitely want to pick up the other two novels. The Left Hand Dreams of Him and The Ring Finger Falls Silent. Both stories are quite good. I don’t want to get into any detail of the stories as I don’t want to spoil anything for you. A small note with the novels the person who did the drawings for the manga, Hotaru Odagiri, also drew a few pictures for each novel.
Now what’s wrong with novels. There are some grammatical errors and at times it can be confusing as to who is speaking. Other than that though, I didn’t find anything wrong with them.
If you’re new to the genre or have been reading it for awhile I highly recommend this series.

Fun collection of stories about a beautiful family... Feb 29, 2008 reviewed by B.Anne (Family Complex)
First of all, this is not in any way related to the Only the Ring Finger Knows series. It IS related to the Princess Princess series, which was also written by Mikiyo Tsuda, the author of this manga. The main character in this book, Akira, also appears in that series.
Akira has a complex about his family - all of them are so incredibly beautiful that people stare when they go out in public. All except Akira, who is a normal-looking young teenage boy.
The book is divided into several chapters, with each chapter focusing on a different member of the family. Akira - and how he learns to deal with his situation - is the first story. His older brother, who is idolized at school to the point that he has no close friends, is the focus of the second story. Akira's older sister has the same problem making friends at her school in the third story, and in the fourth, his younger sister - a shy, instrospective girl - learns how to communicate with the other kids at her own school. There's also a short chapter telling how the parents met, at the end of the book.
These are all quite funny, heart-warming stories and it's easy to care about these characters although their problems aren't anything an average person is likely to face!
The author, Mikyo Tsuda, also includes a comic written about her own life, and what happened to her when she had surgery for an eye injury. Interesting stuff, but inconsistent with the rest of the book.
One very cute note for sharp-eyed readers is that whenever a character is watching TV in this book, the scene on the TV is from one of the author's other books...

One of the best yaoi/shonen-ai to start with!- Only the Ring Finger Knows Jan 05, 2008 reviewed by Sunder
This has got to be one of the best stories I have come across so far in yaoi/shonen-ai manga. It is a great loving story that really develops the characters so that you feel for them. With all of my friends that had been slightly interested in yaoi but never read it before, I recommended them this and all have loved it. It is a sweet tale with charming characters. I would recommend the manga to people interested in just getting started in collecting yaoi/shonen-ai. I would recommend the books for those that might have been collecting manga for a while and are looking for a change or those that really fell in love with the characters.

Very Good Jun 07, 2007 reviewed by Romiscado
I quite enjoyed the manga. Although I didn't buy it off justmanga.com, I thought I should let everyone else know that it is definitely worth paying for. I haven't read the sequel, or any of the rest of the series, but from what I've seen so far, it's an excellent choice. The main characters are very well developed, and Wataru is just too cute!

A read for any typical girl May 21, 2008 reviewed by Sozuki
Only the Ring Finger Knows was the first DMP manga I bought. Back in the day where DMP was just DMP and June probably didn't cross anyones mind yet.
This series is the basic romance story, with getting together in the manga (and the first half of the first novel) and the problems they share throughout the second and third book. For any typical girl, this story is a must. It's a sweet story and I recommend it to anyone and everyone.
