i just recently bought this manga and i thought it was very cute. all the characters are very loveable and the art work is nicely done. if you're a fan of ouran host club i think you'll really like this as well, they have a very similar vibe but the main characters have almost polar opposite personalities so it's not a carbon copy. definately a must read.

Because Cupid Likes Irony Jan 02, 2008

In order to escape a reputation that haunted her throughout her entire school life as the girl who got rejected a consecutive fifty or so times, Aria transfers to a new school. However, even at her new school, her rep precedes her. Not just the reputation of her rejections, but her ironic nickname of “The Love Master”, as she can help other couples…she just can’t become part of one. After all those rejections, she has decided to scorn love, but this is manga and that’s never stopped anyone before.
Upon arrival to her new school, Aria is shanghaied away and joins the student council for her grade level. There she meets the athlete with the heart of gold, the strong silent VP, the narcissist treasurer, and the tomboyish girl hating girl. They all get along well enough and it isn’t long until Aria’s reputation is called into play by her classmate. While trying to help others, Aria must also try to temper her overzealous fellow council members, AND fight off the feelings she is starting to feel for one of the officers, Jin.
I had pretty good expectations of this story, but I found it didn’t strike me as I thought it would. The usual elements are there in this school age romance manga and nothing new seemed to catch my eye. The characters have decent chemistry with each other and I do like how they all start to come together thanks to Aria. They seem to have pretty set in stone personalities, but I get the feeling there is something more. However, in general, I just didn’t enjoy the manga as well as I thought. It’s still a decent read. Not too fast, the story flow is good, the relationships between the characters are well done, but nothing really stands out much over all. I’d give it 3.5 stars. Still worth a read, though, just not as addicting or engrossing as it could be.
