A Simple Must For Any Manga Fan Nov 02, 2007 reviewed by Flip
I wish I could write this without it sounding like an exaggeration, but this is really a series that I recommend to everyone. It might not have too much in regards to comedy, but as far as action and drama, few series approach these concepts with the same careful attention and intense detail that Lone Wolf and Cub has.
It might not be entirely suited for younger readers due to the high level of violence and the occasional nudity, but the simple maturity that these are treated with makes series that are less explicit seem more unsuitable.
A great read, and in my opinion, a simply must have.

A Groundbreaking Classic Jun 17, 2007 reviewed by GrimVarda
This is definately one of the landmark series that has set the tone of more contemporary manga generations. The story and art flow seamlessly together taking the reader into the harsh world of Itto Ogami and his young son Daigoro.
If you love old school manga then this is definately for you. As for me, I love the story and art but I can't help but to relate better to more recent manga. If you're a manga collector, this series is a must have.
GrimVarda also recommended: Blade of the Immortal, Vagabond, Crying Freeman, Berserk,
