Definite Recommendation Aug 23, 2007

I absolutely love this book. It is one of my favorites and holds a special place on my bookshelf. While the sex scenes aren't really graphic, the story should make this a definite buy for anyone interested in reading about love between two men.
Story: There are two seperate storylines in this book. The first is the title story and is about half of the book. It is about a man who is in love with his sister's fiance. This is one of the better yaoi I have managed to find. It's creative in its approach to the two men's relationship and knows when to deliver the action.
The second story is more action packed. It deals with an FBI agent and a criminal. I think that this story outshines the title story. It is expertly paced and keeps the reader interested both in the two men's relationship and the developing mystery.
Art: This lady draws great men. The style is kind of realistic and she knows how to give each person distinctive features. There are a few panel with a sketchy quality, but it does not detract from the overall story. If you have already read The Judged, you will notice an improvement in her drawings for Last Portrait. The ukes in this book look like males. They do not look girly. However, the FBI agent in the second story has a young boyish face (with a grown up body!)
