Truly Heartwarming Apr 01, 2008

What if we could never touch another person? Imagine how important touch can be just for consoling eachother; moreover, think what if you couldn't tell others WHY you can't touch them? There would be a lot of misunderstandings and loneliness. The characters in Land of the Blindfolded have special powers that are activated by human touch: two can see the future and one can see the past. You witness how similiar as well as totally different these characters' personal lives are due to the reactions of the people around them. For example, the heroine has a loving mother that's very understanding of her abilities; where as, a schoolmate with the same power must live alone because HIS mother is too scared to even touch her own son.
When a simple touch can be of great consequence for both involved, it's easy to understand the characters' fears of human contact. As a romance blossoms between two, it's endearing to watch them overcome such a usually simple thing. I grew to love these characters and their personalities, the author did a wonderful job. There's a lovely mix of drama, romance, lighthearted comedy, and mystery initially involving their pasts. Also, I'm sure everyone loves a good love triangle. :3
The art a good and the storytelling has a perfect pace. There are a lot of cute aspects as well as parts that will stir your feelings.

Land of the blindfolded Feb 09, 2008

What would happen if everyone in the world had a blindfold over their eyes so they couldn't see where they were going? Life! Now what would happen if one of those people's blindfold was loose and fell every once in awhile and they could see whether the person beside them was fixing to walk off a cliff!? This story is an amazing piece of fiction! With a lot of romance, a little drama, and all over a good story! This is definetly a book you should check into!
