King of Hell - Totally worth your money Feb 18, 2008

You know when a manga's so good, when you purchase one, read it, and return to the bookstore the next day to purchase the *ten* next volumes in one go.
King of Hell is an *exceptional* manga. This series is packed full of action, humor, and heck, there's even parts where it gets so sad and emotional that you end up reaching for the tissue box.
Set in the ancient times, the main character Mahjeh is, grudgingly, sent out to the physical realm to hunt down demon souls who have escaped from hell. This is no small feat, as the demons are powerful while Mahjeh has most of his power sealed.
During this time, Mahjeh also encounters allies who have their own respectively powerful talents - after all, there are a *lot* of martial art clans during that time.
Overall, I highly recommend this manga. There are awesome twists and turns in the plot, extremely well-developed characters, the detail and artwork is just plain amazing, and you'll be rolling around laughing one moment and then holding your breath every time there's a cliff-hanger.
Highly recommended? Totally!
