Junjo Romantica Synopsis: Misaki, struggling to pass his college entrance exams, is in need of a tutor to help pump up his failing grades. Unfortunately, his only option is the cool and sexy Akihiko Usami. Usami happens to be a famous boys? love novelist, which doesn?t exactly float Misaki?s boat, especially since his main characters are ?Akihiko? and ?Takahiro,? the name of Misaki?s older brother and Usami?s childhood friend. Understandably, Misaki is pretty disgusted by the thought of someone using his older brother as his personal fantasy-material, but then after some tender loving from Usami, Misaki is also pretty confused. He may even be developing feelings for the older man...And when Takahiro introduces them to his lovely (female) fianc?e, so begins the bumpy relationship of this odd couple, filled with comedy and pure romance.

I bought this work beacuse I loved the premise of a yaoi writer. It feels like a more realistic and grounded verison of Gravitation.
The work includes two concurrently running stories which overlap. The first stories involve the yaoi writer and a college student. The second involves a graduate student who was in love with the yaoi writer and another student. Both are extremely entertaining and enjoyable. Plus, it is fun how character overlaps occur and creates the hope that one day the stories merge.
The characters are fun and come together well. (Luckily there was no we hate other then BAM! there is love interest) The resitence of the uke to act uke is the best. They are not girly and lovey dovey - in fact they are more combative. The difference is so great.
The art is beautiful and clean with even the background filled in. The sex in the work is somewhat explicit with only minor editing. Plus, for the romance novel fan in us all - there are excerpts of the yaoi novels throughout the work! I would love to read the whole novel(s) by itself!
Overall, this is a must have for any yaoi fan.

This series was the first Yaoi series I had read, and afterwards I was hooked. I'll happily recommend this Manga series to anyone, even if you've never read a BL(Boys Love)Manga Junjo Romantica is a great starting point.

A very funny manga with lots of romance scenes with a main character who just can't decide if his love interest likes him for himself or if he's simply the fling of the week. A manga thats sets your heart racing from displays of affection and your lungs hurting from the ridiculous situations.

It turned this very anti-yaoi person into an obessed, must see more of the story person. I fell in love with the anime and then came to the manga and it is just wonderful. The characters are super cute and so easy to love. The story is jam packed with emotion too, some of the parts are almost overwhelming because of it... but in a very, very good way.
Definitely a series any yaoi or non yaoi fan should read.

I love love LOVE this manga....it's very cute, funny and sweet...Nakamura's art really shine here, all the characters are handsome and just great details...The love scenes are not too explicit, but just enough to raise your body temperature that you'd probably need a cold shower after =D
Junjou Romantica consists of three different stories
- Junjou Romantica :: a love story between a famous author, Usagi, and a college student, Misaki. They're the main characters in this book, hence the name. It started out that Usagi had a crush on Misaki's older brother, but later fall for Misaki instead. It's obvious to see how much Usagi loves and treasures Misaki, but sadly, Misaki is not always honest with his feelings, causing the two to often fights.
- Junjou Egoist :: Hiroki, a professor assistant, in loved with Usagi, but winded meeting Nowaki, an orphan and a medical student. Nowaki fell in love with Hiroki at first sight because he saw Hiroki's crying face and said he wanted to love Hiroki. They are my favorite couple in the entire story, because it's funny and sweet at the same time to see them fight. Hiroki, falling so deep for Nowaki but because of his pride, having difficulties expressing his love for Nowaki. It's also cool to see how Nowaki willing to put up with Hiroki, even though he was always called a Brat or having to go comfort Hiroki.
- Junjou Terrorist :: this is the third story in the book. It's about a College Professor, Miyagi, starting to fall for his ex-wife' young brother, Shinobou. Shinobou claimed that it was Destiny and fate that the two should be together. This is also a cute story showing how pure true love is.
Overall, i loved and enjoyed this book very much. It's a must for all Yaoi Fan. Make sure to also watch the anime, You WON'T be disappointed.

If you are in a romantic and comedy books or mangas, than you will love Junjo Romantica series. Its mainly about this boy name Misaki that wanted to enroll into Tokyo univerty college of Japan,but he have low grades to pass his college entrance exams. He's brother's old high school friend set him up to tutor him. Misaki start developing feelings for his tutor, Akihiko Usami. This is a high five star rated manga that you will enjoy. Its a cute book to read and to fall in love yourself.
