Violent, fun, but not much else Aug 17, 2010

I bought this work on impulse. It was an okay impulse.
Jack Frost began with a bang or rather a bloody, violent action scene. As the story progressed, I couldn't shake the feeling that I have been here before. Jack was felt exactly like Alucard from Hellsing. He supposed master - Intergra. The women practically have the exact same face (I say facially because this new Intergra wears a costume straight from a S&M catalogue). The new girl is a clumsy recruit that sticks to Jack like a magnet *cough* Seras *cough*.
Despite this drawback, the work is fun. The violent scenes are splattered throughout the work and drawn in all its gory delight. In fact, the work develops less character and focuses more on being a violent display of bloody battles. That said I have no idea where this story is going. There seems to be some sort of plot developing, but it isn't clear. Maybe vol 2 will have a better explainantion.
Don't expect much from Jack Frost except great battle scenes. If you enjoy a complex well though out plot - look elsewhere.
