Background and So Much More Dec 06, 2007 reviewed by Obsessed (InuYasha Profiles)
First off, this profile book covers the plot line up until Kagome's battle with baby Hakudoshi and his attempt to control her. I think that makes it volume 29 or 30? I can't quite recall correctly.
The profile book itself is quite fun for the Inuyasha obsessed. Takashi has supply full explanations on the Shikon jewel, battle history, collection of jewel shards (down to the exact number!), and a guide to all of the lesser characters, both human and demon, as they appear in the book with full citation (page number and volume the character first appeared on).
All of the other main characters, from good guys to bad, are given full length profiles. The profiles include: a quick overview with items, such as age, occupation, siblings, ect.; a diagram of their capabilities, such as intellect, demon power, strength; technique list; and a diagram of their abilities in accordance with the Shikon Jewel, labeled ara (courage), nigi (friendship), hushi (wisdom), and saki (love).
This is what really makes the book. It fun to discover the ages of the various characters especially the demons! Also, the capability diagrams are interesting since it allows for character comparison. For instance, Sesshomaru is almost completely maxed out in all areas except intellect (later comparison shows that both Naraku and Miroku are technically more intellectual than him!). Using the same characteristic, comparison also shows how dumb Koga and Inuyasha are. The Shikon Jewel diagram is also fun since it ties so strongly with the plot. I like how Takahashi has Kikyo and Naraku completely maxed out in these areas making them complete opposites; Kikyo the good jewel and Naraku the bad jewel representation.
Also, throughout the book there are creator comments which provide some insight into the individual characters. The only downside to this is that not all characters have comments and Kagome, Kikyo, Shippo, and Inuyasha are greatly favored. There is also an interview with Takahashi at the back of the book which is rather interesting.
There are a few small mistakes to note, but they are very minor. The summary caption for Sango is wrong due to poor editing and lists Mushin as her kin. Something left over from Miroku's profile. Also, Kikyo's battle technique summary is actually Naraku's, but the full explanations in the book are correct. The other mistake I noted was that in the guidebook at the back Ayumi is missing from Kagome's friends and Hojo and Yuma are mislabeled. A fact that is actually funny since Hojo is labeled as Yuma and vise versa.
Overall, for any fan this is well worth the money. The book also serves as an excellent overview for new comers to the series, but may be less interesting.

so-so Jul 12, 2007 reviewed by hitachiin_love (Courier - InuYasha Sitting - Black)
I have this bag and used it through out my frshman year during high school I still use it for a back up bag, but it didn't hold up all that great. I didn't really cram it all that tight because I didn't have the locker problem I did this year but the whole bottom nearly gave out and the mesh pocket in the front had to be re-sewed. I guess for ligh loads up to middle school would be more ideal for a purpose.

Inu Yasha: Hell's Demon or Earth's savoir Jun 03, 2007 reviewed by Eve
So far Inu Yasha has not dissappionted readers from across the globe. In the start nothing goes right for the dinamac dou from the crow to the breaking piont of the jewel, but as time would have it Inu Yasha and Kagome have started to warm up to one another. Later they are joined by three others(all at different times). And together the hunt for the 'Jewel of four souls' has begun. As the hunt goes on as do affections grow between two sets of two peoples, as an old relationship is literaly brought back from the dead. The first 28 has not dissapionted this reader and there is no reason why vol.# 29 won't either!

Fun to Watch/Read Jan 24, 2009 reviewed by Miranda
Either way if you like the manga better then the anime, or vice versa, I really think anyone would enjoy this series. My friend who isn't interested in anime at all (inless I tell her an anime/manga to read/watch then she looks at it at least) accually found this anime by herself and from watching the first episode, she instantly become in love with this series and started watching the whole series and reading the whole manga series as well. She said that it takes you into a fun, but also a chaotic world of InuYasha. She also loves how the characters are illustrated and personalized. She got me into this series and I have to say, its a very worthy series to look into.

Interesting Story May 19, 2008 reviewed by Silv3r (InuYasha Vol. 01 (2nd Edition))
I had heard of this manga for quite some time, but had been avoiding it. At first it didn't look interesting but i finally read it and found it is quite good. There's magic and demons and evil trying to kill the good guys. It's a good story i think you should at least check out.

Manga is Better than Anime! Aug 05, 2007 reviewed by Natalie
Black and white or not, the manga is so much more beautiul than the anime. Not to mention getting the story straight from the horse's mouth. Besides, the anime got canceled, and the manga lives on!
