Suddenly Azusa, Hatsumi's protector in their youth, reappears to save her again! He's moving back into the neighborhood! Good solid shojo! May 30, 2007 reviewed by Rainy
This is a basic good solid shojo. It has all your basics, blackmail, revenge, lies, betrayal, love and even a super smart hottie. The story is pretty normal and basic except that I totally love one of the main guys, Ryoki, he is the main reason I gave this series 5 stars. His presence makes the whole series worth reading!

twistah Aug 02, 2007 reviewed by Tuttle
You think you know how you love and hate at first but things get thrown into a tizzy very fast. The art is kind of weird looking so I give it 4 stars.

Shojo at it's best. Jun 16, 2008 reviewed by XxInsaneRagdollx
I loved this series. The artwork has a really original feel to it...the artist did an amazing job putting the settings and the characters together, visually i thought it was great. The story has shojo manga written all over it. A love...square? between the main character Hatsumi, her brother, and two childhood friends. The story has cliffhangers from volume to volume, so it just keeps pulling you in so that you want to read more and more of it. I won't give the ending away, but it almost pulls you into one direction, and completely tosses that out of the water so to speak. Overall if you're a shojo fan, i highly recommend it.

Shojo at it's best! Jul 30, 2007 reviewed by sads
This is an incredible manga series. It's creative, sweet & dramatic. Hatsumi is one of the few heroines in shojo who I absolutely adore, even though she's a total pushover. This whole series is about her disastrous teenage life & the boys that make it so exciting. Once I read the first volume I was hooked.

Poor Hatsumi... Jun 19, 2008 reviewed by amusmental (Julie)
Geez, this girl just gets it from everyone! O.o Poor thing. Still, I kept wanting to know what would happen next, and I had an overall good time with it. The characters actually have affected ways of talking (like using various teenager talk; in the little sister's case, lots of 'like' and such) which makes it more of a textured read, rather that textbook speech where everyone talks the same way. The artwork wasn't my favorite style, but was still cool in its own way. I definitely liked it and think it's worth a try.

Black Mail (dun dun duunnnnn) Mar 28, 2008 reviewed by Love_of_Rain
I Loved! this series. It was full of so many twists and turns I got really pissed of at Hatsumi so many times for being such a pushover and I hated Ryoki for being so mean but at the same time I loved him and he was a sweet heart, Azusa was someone who just kinda kept the plot going and Shingou was the BEST! I loved him he was so sweet and the most loving character I've ever seen. It's amazing to see how much and how deeply he loves. Also the side story with Akemi is really cute. I bought Hot Gimmick S but I was deeply disappointed it was poorly written and there was nothing that kept me interested, I also hated that she was still way to into Ryoki and only said she would learn to love Shingou. I suggest you don't read it and just make your own book it would be better then Hot Gimmick S

Masochistic Man meets Purity Oct 09, 2007 reviewed by Lovely_Bones
This is probably my favorite series ever. It has blackmail, romance, sexual situations, side stories, a lot of depth to characters, lies, revenge, misunderstood love, misunderstandings, family love, loyalty, and loads of drama. I love everything about this series, especially Ryoki, the masochistic master himself. Once I read the first one I bought all the ones available, and I was really disappointed when the series ended, it's just an awesome read and has a great ending.

Beautiful Aug 05, 2007 reviewed by Natalie
Buy all at once unless you want to have to run out to the bookstore in between. Seriously the only reason I didnt' buy them all within a week was that they wern't all available then. Georgeous to look at and a twist at every turn you just never know what's going to happen and it's delilcious.
