An excellent purchase Jul 21, 2008
reviewed by Loremaster (Girls Bravo: Complete Collection)
Girls Bravo! is a very funny series, if a little heavy in the fanservice department. Well recommended as a great show for those looking for some lower-brow humor. This set collects all 24 episodes of the series in a rather nice-looking artbox. As well, since this is a Geneon release, there are some nice extras included, though nothing too spectacular.

It's starting to grow on me now May 13, 2008
reviewed by ChloeBlack101 (Girls Bravo Vol. 04)
After getting to the 4th volume, the manga series is starting to grow on me. I still am a bit disappointed. I don't like the way some of the storylines were handled, but by volume 4 there have been more sub-stories that the anime didn't include that were quite cute. I'd thought I'd give up on trying to read all of Girls Bravo's manga, because I preferred the anime. But I think it's still cute enough to give another shot. I still prefer the anime, and I'm still upset that as of volume 4, one of the main characters still has not been introduced (they were introduced long before this by anime standards, and this was the reason I gave volume 4 a 4 instead of a 5). As of volume 4 the anime is still better to me, but the manga is picking up and becoming more enjoyable.

I loved the anime, but... May 09, 2008

... I'm not so much loving the manga, thus far. Which just completely blows my mind.
I rented the anime series of Girl's Bravo, and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Fukuyama is my absolute FAVORITE. You just got to love the pervy, horn-bag comedy relief. There are just so many crazy, laugh-out-loud moments packed into this anime, and most of them for me involved Fukuyama. It also has the benefit of not just being an hilarious anime with the typical big-breasted anime girl's either. The plot line is quite interesting, although it gets better towards the end. I'd recommend the anime of Girl's Bravo to anyone.
But... as for the manga... So far I've only read the first three volumes, and I've got to say I'm not that impressed. It would probably have helped if I hadn't seen the anime already, and it may get better towards the end as well (there's 10 volumes in all so far). But it just doesn't seem to be quite as good as the anime, which is a TOTAL switch (manga is almost ALWAYS better). It's still a great manga, don't get me wrong. But the events happen in different orders with some big differences (well big to me). And unfortunately, it seems to me, at least at first, Fukuyama's character is down-played a bit. You barely noticed his entrance, although by the 3rd volume he is a main player. I think the manga seems just sort of... jumbled and out of focus, and they fixed the focus quite well for the anime series. But it does include a lot of cute side-stories that weren't in the anime, so it's still a major plus. All in all I'd for SURE recommend the anime. But if you watch the anime first... you might now like the manga as much as it should probably be appreciated.
