We meet the Get Backers, Ban Mido and Ginji Amano. Their mission statemet is to get things back that shouldn't be gone. Things can range from anything and you'll soon find out why.Their first mission is to get this poor man's daughter back from the Yukuza, or the japanese mafia. Then we see them get intoanother mission, getting back this lucky cat from a greedy organ doctor. We also get to know the personality of the Get Backers and how they're complete opposites.

An amazingly humorous series, we are first introduced to the main characters; Amano Ginji and Midou Ban. Very much polar opposites, they begin the business of finding lost items and returning it back to the owners. As simple as it may sound, they often get incredibly dodgy jobs, which often than not involve a lot of danger.
It then goes on to reveal that each has their own unique talents, and that they're well-versed in the arts of fighting. Ban has his infamous snake eyes, while Ginji is able to channel electricity through his body. Of course, it doesn't just stop there. Eventually Ginji's past creeps up on him, and the Get Backers begins a very serious (and intruiging) turn.
Overall, this series is exceptionally well-made, with well-developed characters with their own idiosyncrasies. If you're looking for something with a lot of action, humor and bishonen (some shonen-ai hints in here as well), then this is for you.
