I've both seen the anime series and read the manga, and I've always loved Gals. Its always a series I come back to and re-watch and re-read. Main character Ran Kotobuki is infectious and spunky, and the series has a good mix of personalities (Aya the straight-A student, Miyu the ex-gangster turned Super Gal, Yuuya the nice-guy-who-always-finishes-last, Tatsuki the crazy gyaru-o, and Rei Otohata the kind of jerky, laid back sexy guy). And I always laugh when Mr. Kotobuki, Ran's father, makes an appearance, because he's always so over-the-top and hilarious.

All in all, a great series for gyaru culture fans!

Also this may sound like a preppy manga it's ALOT better then it sounds (belive me)It is one of the most funniest manga I have ever read! Well I'll try to sortaish explain some parts to you. It's sorta about a girl who's paret's are in the police system and they want her to be in it too (it run's in the family) well she dosn't want to but then she gets this card from her dad and if she does 10 good deed's then she get's 10,00 yen. Finally she does 10 good deeds (also making an another friend who used to be a prostutute sortaish) and she also get's into a chick fight with these other girls (It was acctually more then a chick fight let's just say a crow bar was almost included) Anyways I hope you decide to read it IT'S ALOT BETTER THAN IT SOUNDS!
