Surprisingly, this children's manga is quite engaging. Though it lacks the usual violent gore of more mature manga, there should be enough explosions and gunfights to satisfy most people.
Admittedly, a series with such a young main character is, at times, tedious to read. However, there are enough adult characters to balance her immaturity. And the banter between Baskerville and Benkate is great. I keep expecting them to jump at each other mid-argument. (Not that such an occurence is likely, considering the Y rating.)
The artwork is unlike anything I have seen before in a Shonen manga. It reminds me a little of old Warner Brother's cartoons where certain features are simplified while others are exaggerated.
Anyone who is a fan of westerns or mysteries should check out this series, even if you only rent or borrow it to start.
