A good horror manga Dec 03, 2008
reviewed by Bunnii
Like: It's completely unpredictable. The story is not so scary in the sense that I had nightmares, but it's scary to imagine being in that situation with the kids. I think what makes this story so great is the whole thing with the psychology of fear, and what makes it even better is the fears of elementary school kids in extremely bizarre situations.
Dislikes: Sometimes the dialogues can be extremely corny and in many cases it's very unrealistic (like a 5th grader with a surgeon's knowledge). A lot of the things said by these kids make me skeptical, but I let it go and accept that maybe these kids are just super smart. But I do believe that this factor really affect the realness of the story.

TOP NOTCH! May 30, 2007

The Drifting Classroom will leave you rushing to turn the pages & thirsting for more after you read each volume. Originally published in 1972 in the japanese manga magazine Weekly Shonen Sunday where it ran from 1972 & started in issue #23 then ran till 1974 ending in issue #27. Although the artwork looks dated it still has the same effect as any new or recent horror manga releases. As most horror mangaka(manga artists)will tell you this series & all of Kazou Umezo works serves as & has served as inspiration for MOST if not ALL horror manga since 1972!!.I Simply Can't Get Enough. I'm all caught up in the series & I will say this I count the days till each release... THATS HOW GOOD IT IS! 'NOUGH SAID!
