Interesting... May 26, 2007
reviewed by Fnfan8
I picked this manga up because I am a video game freak. When I first read it through, I was completly confused. It took my third read through to completly understand the in depth story. It rovolves around the fact that there are 7 demon seals, each named after one of the 7 deadly sins. Dante's(the stories main character) brother, Vergil, wants to open the seals and purge the world with demons. Dante, though being half Demon himself, hunts and destroys demons because they killed his mother. The twisted fact to this whole thing is the fact that Dante, and Vergils father, Sparda, is the demon who Sealed the seals in the first place. Right now it ends with three of the 7 seals being destroyed. I will revise my review after the next volume releases.

The art gets to me the most... Aug 17, 2010

I'm a big fan of the game series--but picking this up confused me. The art is either too detailed, not detailed enough, or doesn't show enough at all. Expressing all of Dante's movements within a few panels per page apparently proves difficult.
The story is also a bit sketchy, but it's there. It may just not be my style of manga--but it's worth a shot for fans of the game!
