I've watched the anime and read the manga up to volume 11 (still waiting on 12+* and this series is really great. This storyline is well thought out, the artwork is amazing, and it has plenty of fighting and romance if you want either. If you're looking for one of those really good, keeps-you-hooked mangas i would definitely buy this series.

This series is actually the reason I'm such a manga fanatic today. When I started reading I thought the art looked amazing. The more you read the series the more you realise how deep the story is.

Well, in the story the main character is Daisuke who is your average, clumsy middle schooler who is in love with a girl Risa. Daisuke then learns from his mother on his birthday that he will inherit the soul of a phantom theif named Dark. On the night of Dark's burglary, he lands on Risa's balcony, and sees Risa's twin sister Riku and he falls in love with her. Dark then flys away and Risa falls in love with him, and then Riku falls in love with Daisuke.

I love this series, and even though this was the first series that I had ever read even though I own over 20 series, it is still at the top of my list. If you like adventure, you should buy this series. If you like romance, you should buy this series. If you like drama, you should buy this series, and if you like great art, you should buy this series.

That's my 2 cents.

As unlikely as it sounds, I actually had a little difficulty getting into this anime. It presented an interesting storyline even from the beginning, but I guess at first I just found it a little slow and repetitive.

However, once you get a couple discs in, the fun really starts. When the story starts getting more into the past, and how things are related/why they are, you really start to be drawn in and enjoy the anime like it should be. And of course the romance and comedy are a major plus. You'll really feel for the characters as they go through their first love experience, mixed with the powerful sadness of knowing unrequited love. You've also just got to love Dark. Totally hot ;)

The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star was because of how slow I felt the beginning was. Otherwise, this definitely would result in 5 stars; this anime has it all. Comedy, romance, action, and some awesome thievery and fighting.

Great romance, 5 if you love romance, but a 4 for the fight scenes and comedy. The Art is AWSOME!!! the story could youse less ecky romance stuff but, my freinds live off that stuff. All I have to do is hint that I might not lend her the next one and she'll shut up about anything! Its great!

This series is one of the best, and most suspenceful manga that I've read. With an alter ego, preventing true love and also being his best friend Daisuke must choose what he must give up. Will it be himself or something else? New twists and turns appear and dark secrets unravel as the story continues...This series will captivate you, and pull you into another world. I highly recommend it.

double personalities girl in love with the same person trying to do the right thing and help out others this series is a romance action one and i personally love it this is a must read trust me on this one :)

I have read all 11 D.N Angel books and I liked them quite alot. I just wished the series ended since book 1 is not the last book, and I have been waiting for months for the next one and still nothing. Anyway the series is romantic, but it still is at a more kid than teen level in my opinion. Daisuke is a pretty normal boy except he has another person inside of him, a phantom theif named Dark. Daisuke is forced to steal things, which makes the book kind of exciting. But mostly the book is more about him trying to confess his love to a firl named Riku, but that is very difficult for a young boy as well as the fact that Riku's twin sister Risa is in love with Daisuke's alter ego Dark loves her twin sister Risa.

If you like comic romance then this is a good manga to check out. It has a good storyline and characters you can relate to.
