Revy, Dutch and Benny are merciless, maniacal and mean. Together, they make up the crew of the Black Lagoon. They are the exact opposite of Rokuro in every way but one? A mercenary group out has targeted them to steal the data disc that Rokuro had, and with it, classified information that threatens the peace and security of the entire world! Amen. Hallelujah. Action! Action! And More Action! Jun 19, 2007 reviewed by Shin (Black Lagoon Vol. 01)
The best way to sum up Black lagoon is...A combination of what made all those 80's Action movies great except with a spin...out with the boys and in with the girls. Gratudious violence, lovely, vicious, and deadly womem, Men who need saving. Not to mention a ton of over the top Action action. Everything from Sword Swinging to Pryomananic, To Chainsaw wielding. And this is just a fraction. If your looking for the best in Action. Here it is

Awesome Oct 02, 2008 reviewed by Nikolai
This series is an action packed frag fest. Once the ball is rolling it rarely, if ever, slows down. Yet amidst the carnage the characters still manage to develop and gain life.

Excellent Buy Oct 02, 2008 reviewed by Nikolai (Black Lagoon Vol. 01 **LIMITED EDITION**)
This item is a great buy. While the DVD is the same as in the regular edition, the case makes it worth the extra cost, especially if you plan on buying the rest of the series.
This series is hardcore, gritty, and action packed. It doesn't pull any punches in depicting the violence committed by beautiful ladies armed to the teeth. The easiest way to describe this anime is bad-assery on a DVD.

Excellent Investment Oct 02, 2008 reviewed by Nikolai (Black Lagoon Vol. 03 **LIMITED EDITION**)
I think that this Limited Edition is easily on par with the Vol. 1 set. The metal covers are extremely well done and look amazing. Each one has two sides with different characters for you're viewing pleasure.
Once again this anime lets loose with the action and violence. This is the last disc of the first season, but don't worry a second season is under way.
