Born To Make A Hit Jun 19, 2007

Beck...Its the name of a Dog. But also the name of one of the biggest upcomming bands. One of the better series you can either watch or read. Either way it will be enjoyable. Its pretty much how a group of kids built a band and thier rode to fame. They then produced to put in musical knowledge, relationships, Bookies, Hardships of being a student , and other stuff into it. Its not near as dry and cut as it sounds. The cast of characters is great, The music in the anime is good. The manga itself goes much farther so that is definitly worth. All and all...There really is no fault to this. A Definitly must watch/read

I don't know about the manga, but the anime is terrific. Though not much music goes on in the first 5 episodes, the music that is played is beautiful. When Greg ayres sung Follow Me I had to rewind and watch it over again and again, it really reminded me of a Beatles song. I'd recomend it to anyone who likes anime and rock and roll.

A great, fresh concept. Jan 17, 2009

When watching Beck, you'll notice that is seems sort of familiar. Beck acts like a sports series, where the sport is rock and roll. Included on the DVD are both English and Japanese language tracks, with a great dubbing and subbing job by FUNimation, not to mention staff commentary and a music video. It also comes with a really cool custom guitar pick.
