Falls short of being really good. Jun 22, 2007 reviewed by Eimajtl
This series was pretty interesting and it had great potential, but it just never came through. The length of the series made it impossible to actually have anything develop at a decent pace.
The characters are fun and the story is interesting, but it is short and the story develops too rapidly.
Note that if you buy the series, the box that comes with volume five can only fit four of the volumes...

Girl in Command ; Aquarian Age May 25, 2007 reviewed by machina
Mana Kirihara had forgotten a memory, a memory so important that it could change the flow of the world; but what would unlock it? A friend? And enemy? There are others around her, others with powers that only a mind breaker can unleash to their fullest capability; and Mana is the key.
Finally, reunited with her childhood friend Kaname; Mana fights to protect this world in the Aquarian Age. An age which spanned over thousands of years where those with supernatural powers battle to be the supreme power.
I really liked this title because it has a lot of suspense behind it, and there is an amazing plot twist near the end. And though Mana is tried again and again, and faced with difficulties that no normal 16 year old girl could withstand; she remains loyal and protects her friends.
I'm also glad to finally see a series with a set of characters with what some may call 'magical' powers, though in reality they are more psychic, or supernatural. You tend to find more magical 'girls' than boys in anime/manga so this was a refreshing story to read.

Good Series Apr 15, 2008 reviewed by anime_luver29
Juvenile Orion was a very good series and I definitely recommend it, but it should have been longer than 5 volumes. The story holds your attention throughout all five volumes and has amazing artwork, but the author could easily have made more plot twists or add in something that would make me give it 5 stars. Though short, I believe it is a series you should read at least once in your lifetime.

Juvenile but worth it Jul 28, 2008 reviewed by Star_Angel_Genesis
This series is one that I recomend to anyone who loves manga. While the concept of secret wars is a common anime setting, this one takes it in a differant direction. Old grudges, confusion in friendship, love triangles, forginess, and several differant types of love flood this five book series. One that's best paid close attention to for sure. The whole idea of the types of beings they are, the teams they fight for, and the concepts they learn are good for anyone to toss around in their head reguardless. Thye deeper look you take into this series the more intrequet you'll find it to really be. ^_-

Good, but Needed More Dec 05, 2008 reviewed by Keru
The art was beautiful, the characters were interesting, and the story had nearly unlimited potential. What went wrong? I mean, goodness, even the side characters who only appeared once or twice had me wondering what was going on with their lives. Is it still a good read and worth the money for five volumes? I would say yes. Will it possibly feel rushed and cut short? Yes, so not top priority buying material, but give it a go and I think you'll enjoy it. Warnings: It's rated Older Teen, and while it's not as heavy as some titles out there, it's probably not the best material for little kids.
Keru also recommended: Vampire Knight, Her Majesty's Dog, Yurara, Kamui,
