It's about yaoi!! ^^!! Nov 15, 2008
reviewed by GrimVarda
This manga is great. It's based around yaoi fangirls so it's very relatible, and it's a great comedy. It's done by Americans so you can actually relate to the cultural references (ex: Jay and Silent Bob in the mall scene
GrimVarda also recommended: Passion, Gorgeous Carat, Gakuen Heaven, Wild Rock,

Cute and funny - just have to put up with the fan service! Apr 22, 2008

For an OEL, I never expect much, but Aoi House was amazingly funny. The book centers on two main characters, Alex and Sandy, who both get kicked out of their dorms and end up at the Aoi House. A dorm that sadly lost the Y in their name (Yaoi House).
From there, the author has many Love Hina like moments as any harem manga would. On occassion the chapters bounce and you are not quite sure how the preceeding chapters goes with the following chapter. Or if that really happened at all. Despite this flaw, the mayhem is top notch and harem fans have plenty of fan service via a panty-thieving hamster.
Before that turns off anyone, I would have to say that I'm not a huge fan of harem manga (love Hina is an exception), but I enjoyed this. There are many references to other manga including (duh) yaoi. For us yaoi fan girls, this may be a must because it does make of fun girls who glomp. The random cosplay is funny espcially if you loved Final Fanstasy, Naruto and many others.
The new bonus is that Seven Seas as begun to publish this as an omnibus. So for less cash you have a look if you like random, funny works and can stand a level of harem fan service.
